Sibonn Boutique Hotel. This rather pleasant West Indian-style resort is, perhaps, just what the doctor ordered if you re looking best beaches in northern california for a getaway from the stress and hubbub of the city. There are only 25 units in this laid-back seaside destination. It s quiet, though lacking in many of the amenities of the larger hotels and resorts on the bay. Guest rooms are all air-conditioned, have ceiling fans, and TVs, and that s about all. The bathrooms are small, with shower stalls only. There is an on-site restaurant, a pool, and a bar. The restaurant has big picture windows with ocean views, making it a very pleasant place for an intimate dinner; the food s not bad either. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Allegro Resort, so you can eat there too and spend some in the casino.
