On the far western shore of the island is Sandy Point, a tiny settlement beyond the salt flats where there is yet another colony of flamingos. It s an excellent place for snorkeling and wandering the lonely beaches.
Mae s Bed & Breakfast, on Tucker s Hill, is run by one of the nicest little old ladies you re ever likely to meet. She offers three clean, comfortably furnished guest rooms and a great breakfast for around $70. She will cook lunch and dinner on request. Mae s is very pleasant, with nice views and great hospitality. 649-946-3207.
